The Wedding Checklist

A wedding involves lots of preparations and the bride and groom find it rather difficult to keep all their tasks in order in their minds. Weddings and planning often also involve large budgets and decisions, so the best thing that could be done to help you remember your work and thus reduce your headaches related to the smallest details involved in a wedding, you could prepare a wedding checklist. The main advantage of having a wedding checklist is that it can be altered to fit your needs as the wedding closes in. There may be things that you remember later that you could add to the wedding checklist as you remember it. Details with wedding vendors might change over time, or certain decorations and supplies might not be available. Moreover, there is a great sense of satisfaction in you once you start checking off completed tasks from the wedding checklist. With a wedding checklist, you can become much more relaxed on your wedding day as you will know that you have not forgotten anything while preparing for the wedding. Once you know that nothing can happen to ruin your special day, you can relax and enjoy the day to the maximum. It is preferable to start on the wedding checklist not a few days or weeks before the wedding, but about six to twelve months before the wedding. You then add points of all the arrangements that have to made for the wedding like the wedding photographer, florist, caterers, tailor, DJ, reservations of the church or wedding hall, a suitable location of the reception, honeymoon bookings and many other points that go into the preparation of a wedding. You also have to include your guest list in the wedding checklist and the task of ordering and dispatching wedding invitations. Then there are the wedding gown, the wedding attendant’s dresses, the attire for the groom and groomsmen and the wedding rings that have to be present in the wedding checklist. Once you have completed the arrangements according to the wedding checklist, you have to cancel the entry from the wedding checklist. There will be some work that you have to do only a few days prior to the wedding like ordering the wedding cake, sending invitations and the final fittings for everyone’s wedding dresses. Place reminders on such chores on the wedding checklist. There are other things that you can add to the wedding checklist like the guest book, thank you cards, decorations, wedding favors, limo service and other things. It all depends on the theme of the wedding, season of the wedding and your budget. It is advisable to go through the wedding checklist again about a month or six weeks before the wedding day to ensure that you have not forgotten anything.
