         <title>Bus Driver Found Not Guilty in Bus Crash</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>Indiana truck driver Michael J. Kozlowsk's semitrailer truck overturned on interstate Hwy.94 in October of 2005 killing 5 people and injuring dozens more, according to the <a href="http://www.startribune.com/462/story/1153483.html">Star Tribune</a></p>

<p>When Kozlowsk's truck overturned it blocked both westbound lanes so when a bus carrying Chippewa Falls marching band students and chaperones arrived moments later it crashed right into it. </p>

<p>Kozlowsk's attorney argued that the driver of the bus was excessively tired and not wearing his brakes like his liscense required.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Dog owner arrested</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>Tom Mohrbacker, 39, was arrested Tuesday after missing his trial where he was charged with not registering his dogs as dangerous, according to the <a href="http://www.startribune.com/467/story/1156033.html">Star Tribune</a></p>

<p>Mohrbacker's dogs severely mauled a neighbor and friend on March 26 of this year.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Heart Attack Survival Rate Rises</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>By Christine O'Donnell,</p>

<p>More heart attack patients worldwide are surviving with less heart damage than they were just a few years ago, doctors report today in the first major study to suggest that widespread use of proven treatments is paying off around the globe, according to <a href="http://www.usatoday.com/news/health/2007-05-01-heart-attack-rate_N.htm">USA Today</a>.</p>

<p>The study consisted of 44,372 patients from the USA, Canada, Europe and South America, according to USA Today.</p>

<p>Hospital deaths fell by 18% in patients with the most severe form of heart attack, the study shows, according to USA Today.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Islamic Candidate for President in Turkey was blocked</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>Turkey’s constitutional court today supported an effort to block a candidate for the country’s presidency whose background is in political Islam Tuesday, according to the <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/01/world/europe/01cnd-Turkey.html?hp">NY Times</a>.</p>

<p>This move pitches the country into early national elections and a referendum on the role of religion in its future, according to the NYtimes.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Bush veto&apos;s troop withdrawl bill</title>

<p>President Bush rejected a bill that would require the first U.S. combat troops to be withdrawn from Iraq by Oct. 1 with a goal of a complete pullout six months later, according to <a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070501/ap_on_go_pr_wh/us_iraq_33">associated press </a>writers Anne Flahertyand Jennifer Loven.</p>

<p>This bill would have lead to chaos and confusion, according to Bush in the AP article</p>

<p>Bush also said the bill was a blueprint for failure and defeat, according to the <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2007/05/01/washington/01cnd-policy.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin">NY Times</a>.</p>]]></description>

<p>Does of drug and alcohol addicts in New York check themselves into detoxification wards so often that they stay overnight more than 100 nights a year, according to the <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/17/nyregion/17detox.html?ex=1178337600&en=9fef032c8573bee7&ei=5070">NY times</a>.</p>

<p>THese peple are know as "frequent flyers."</p>

<p>New Yorks spends more than $300 million a year on it's medicad program. That's far more than the rest of the United States, the NY times reported.</p>]]></description>

         <title>31 killed at Virgina Tech</title>
         <description><![CDATA[<p>By Christine O'Donnell,</p>

<p>Thirty people were killed in the deadliest campus massacre Monday  at VIrginia Tech, according to Sue LIndsey an <a href="http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070416/ap_on_re_us/virginia_tech_shooting_58">Associated Press</a> writer.</p>

<p>There was no immediate evidence to suggest it was a terrorist attack, FBI spokesman Richard Kolko in Washington said.  "But all avenues will be explored."</p>

<p>The gunman was also shot to death, officials said, according to the <a href="http://www.nytimes.com/2007/04/16/us/16cnd-shooting.html?hp">NY Times.</a></p>]]></description>
