David Rosen and Nick Rosencrans of the Training
and Usability service team, in collaboration with CLA writing studies professor Lee-Ann Kastman Breuch, gave a presentation at the recent 2012 Council for Programs in Technical and Scientific Communication (CPTSC) annual meeting.
The presentation, "Usability as Service Learning," detailed the history of the usability lab as a partnership between the Office of Information Technology and six academic departments, and the story of how the Writing Studies department has employed the usability lab as a service learning space for students.
Early feedback from the presentation included, "...your session was so useful, instructive, and insightful--the best session I had at the conference!"
Great job David and Nick!
