3-year-old struck, killed by car
A 3-year-old girl was struck and killed by a truck in St. Paul on Saturday morning, the StarTribune reported.
The girl, Mai Yer Moua, died at Regions Hospital in St. Paul, St. Paul Fire Department spokesman Steve Zaccard told the StarTribune. Moua was struck at about 9:30 a.m. in the 900 block of Rose Av. E. StarTribune reported.
Paramedics treated her at the scene, and a special trauma unit was activated at the hospital, according to St. Paul Pioneer Press.
Moua was trying to cross the street to reach her father when she was struck, Peter Panos, a spokesman for the St. Paul Police Department, told the StarTribune.
Panos called the girl's death accidental, StarTribune reported.
