If I were to be free from all of my current schooling needs, I would do music. Music to me is a medicine. A type of drug that doesn't have bad side-effects or illegal to use. Music is a form of poetry and a way of getting a message out to the masses. I am a drummer in a band and with my current experience, I have seen many different musicians and heard many different messages.

Music is a from of design, it shapes the way a song is heard, and the way that listeners respond. Even as a drummer and not a singer I have come to a true appreciation of music. Being an architect to me is just one of the possible paths into the Designed world. I know that I will become of the design community, I just don't know how. So far music is my favorite area of design and I enjoy physical structures from cars, houses and objects.

Being in the music business and being a drummer, I have to design new beats and different drum fills, otherwise I loose my job. Music is similar to the design business. If a designer doesn't use creativity then their work will be bland. If a designer doesn't try out new ideas, he or she will never get anywhere. An understanding of how these two different fields intertwine and mold together takes a special eye and a deeper thought. From the way drums are designed, to the way clothes are worn adn designed, design is a huge attribute towards musicians.

Now I know that you are probably thinking, "how does this effect the environment?" Music effects the way people think and dictates what they hear. If I was to drop college and continue my music dream I would translate the message through music and my own actions to help and save the environment. If I am ever a role model to others, I would make sure that they know where I stand when it comes to the environment. Music to me is my drug and in my eyes, the best way for me to help the environment. From buying clothes from green companies, to using drumsticks that are made with no chemicals, it is the little things that add up to the bigger picture.
