Medical transport van driver charged of sexually assaulting a mentally impaired woman
A Rogers man was accused of sexually assaulting a mentally impaired woman while driving her home in a medical transport van in June, reported the Pioneer Press.
Vladimir Andreyevich Yulchinchuk, 40, is accused of raping a woman after picking her up from a medical treatment facility. The woman, who has an IQ of 80 and has suffered brain injury, told police that Yulchinchuk "drove into the alley behind the center and told her that he was going to have sex with her," according to the police affidavit.
The Star Tribune wrote the story with a more graphic approach, reporting that "a man driving a medical transport van in Minneapolis picked up a woman, stripped her and raped her, knowing she was mentally impaired."
Yulchinchuk was driving a van for NAB Medical Transport, who has no record of scheduling to pick up the woman, "K.M."
Yulchinchuk is being held on accusations of sexual assault, but a judge reduced his bail from $100,000 to $50,000 on Friday.
