Thanx A Lot, Club Rappers!

Via Blackprof.com there is a short film by then high schooler Kiri Davis that is refreshingly revealing and brutally honest. The first part she shows a bunch of black girls admitting that among themselves, black is not necessarily beautiful, which explains the hair relaxers, the weaves, the skin bleaching, and lack of attention to dark-skinned girls with natural hair.

The next part, the part that almost made me vomit, the documentarian recreated the famous experiment performed by Dr. Kenneth Johnson where she had black preschoolers choose either the black doll or the white doll. 15 out of the 20 kids chose the white doll, some saying specifically because they are white.

Now why, in this day in age, would black children hate themselves so much? Would it be because they are bombared with these types of images?

Yep, the women considered desireable by these horrible rappers are light-skinned and have straight hair. Perhaps they should stop that, but then they would lose their market share among whites.

its a 400 year old problem but constantly perpetuated by those who control media today. One may blame Nelly for the "tip drill" video or any other "hip-hop" star making videos out there. The truth of the matter is that most videos today are made by white boys trying to live out a fantasy. Its the master and the house slave mentality they are perpetuating on film while the "hip-hop" star goes along with the brain washed idea that "snow-white" is golden and you can't mess with the golden rule. WHo made it and who practiced it and who got branded with it...till it hurt?

Complex situations but it is true that you cannot take a fly to the swatter but you can find many flyboys in the buttermilk!

Yeah, you are right about the rappers being literally owned by the white boys at the white record companies that pick and choose which artists we hear on the radio and see on the videos. No wonder white people think racism isn't a problem anymore, you don't hear anything coming from Paris or similar artists even though they are still kicking it even today.

It absolutely looks to be so. Great post by the way!
