Personality is forever...

The thing that I will remember most from this psychology class, will be the emphasis and time spent on personality. Everyone is different in some way, and that is what I have always found so interesting. Why people do what they do and getting a better understanding of why they do what they do because of the knowledge I have gained from this class will help me in the future. No matter what area or field of study you go into after college, you will most likely have to work with other people. The more you know about personalities and how to cope and coexist and even bring the best out of each other, the better and happier you will be with your career. The importance of personalities in my life has been something that has always been of interest to me. I have always found people's separate personalities an interesting thing to observe. I like to watch how people act around others and I like to analyze them. The information I have learned from this class has just made everything more interesting. In order to remember stuff, especially five years down the road, it has to be something that is interesting to you. This was a section that was interesting to me and I will remember much of the information because of it.

I totally agree with you that this was one of the most interesting parts of the class because it is the most pervasive thing about psychology that you see everyday. I also agree with you about liking to know why people are different and what causes them to act differently around certain people. The part of this class on personality definitely started to answer some of those questions. I think the part of personality that will stick most with me is the part about how parenting affects it because I have always wondered how siblings who have grown up together with the same parents can be completely different people. I really agree with your point, too, about how for you to remember something from an introductory class like this it really has to be something that truly interests you deeply.

The values that make us unique are actually shared and very similar between everyone. This was very interesting to me, as personality is such a hard thing to quantify, and compare.

I found the personality unit to be particularly interesting as well, for it is something extremely relatable since we interact with a myriad of people each and every day. Especially as we begin to enter the work force, I believe it is important to be able to work with all types of personalities. If this is accomplished, it is easier to understand where the person is coming from in different situations.

I also found the personality unit to be very interesting because it is unique to each and every person you meet. You find out what personalities work the best with yours and which ones do not. Other's personalities help to shape your own, and I think it's an important subject to understand and learn about.

You are right, it was a very interesting section. Personality is so important to understand, and essential in everyday life. One thing that I found interesting about personality personally, is how much it depends on genetics. It is amazing that it does, because I always thought it was from your life experiences and from growing up. Good post!

I like your last sentence a lot. I find it to be the case with every class I take. There will be a few sections where I am highly motivated to learn about them and those sections come exponentially easier to me. It would be nice if everything interested me to the same degree and then school would be much more enjoyable.

I also found the chapter on personality to be the most interesting. It was fun to be able to analyze my own personality and see if others perceive me the same way that I do. I think that personality is something that you carry with you your entire life and truly reflects who you are as a person. Because everyone is different, it is fun to compare and contrast other's personalities and see how they are similar to your own.
