Commencement Informational Meeting

 

Present: Eric, Jess, Ann, Maria, Graham, Sandhya, Yoshi, Tanya, Katie

 

Things to remember for the day

 

Show up at NOON to survey the scene.

á      The ceremony goes from 2:00p.m. – 4:00p.m.

á      Reception usually goes until 6:00p.m.

 

Wear business wear (you're representing the school).

 

Wear comfy shoes.

 

Chaos: the last-minute stuff

Faculty lineup.

 

Student lineup.

á                    Making a list: Make sure nobody is missing from the line-up (like people who get sick at the last minute).

á                    The list is made last-minute and handed to John Adams to read out.

 

Teach students how to go to the stage, then back to their seats, all alphabetically.

 

Volunteers can sit and see the ceremony. We'll have a good speech from Sam DeLaZaro [sic] from the Jim Lehrer News Hour.
