Broad Impacts: Putting a Price on Life
November 20, 2012,
4:30 PM - 6:00 PM
6-135 Jackson Hall
How much money is a human life worth? Thinking about the monetary value of
life may sound heartless, but these calculations are regularly used to make
important decisions regarding health care, risk management, environmental
impact assessments, foreign aid, and more. Join us on Tuesday, November
20th at 4:30pm in Jackson Hall 6-135 as we discuss ways to quantitatively
determine the value of our own lives.
Broad Impacts is an informal science policy discussion group that explores the interaction of science, policy, and society.
