Postdoc Research Day

What: An opportunity for postdocs to share your research and to sharpen your skills in communicating your research findings to a multi-disciplinary academic audience. Registration for this event is free and open to all postdocs from the University of Iowa, Iowa State University, and the University of Minnesota. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided. This is event is hosted by the University of Iowa Postdoctoral Association (UIPDA) with support from the UI Office of Postdoctoral Scholars and the Graduate College.

Instructions for Iowa State University and University of Minnesota postdocs -
In order to access the online registration and abstract submission form, you must first create an account. Click on the "I want to create an account" link. Create a username, enter a valid e-mail address, and click on the "create new account" box. A confirmation e-mail with additional instructions will be sent to the e-mail address you provided. Once your username and password have been created, you will then be able to register for the event and submit any research abstracts.
ASTRACT SUBMISSION
Oral and poster presentation research abstracts are due by 5:00 pm on April 2. You may submit up to two research abstracts. There are a limited number of spots available for those interested in providing a 10-minute oral presentation. Abstracts submitted for oral presentations that are not selected for a talk will automatically be considered for the poster session. Those who submit research abstracts will be notified regarding acceptance/rejection by April 16.
Individuals interested in presenting a poster are responsible for paying the cost of poster printing. Poster boards have a display area of approximately 4'x6'. Presenters are reminded that they are discouraged from tacking posters to the wooden frame surrounding the display area.
The abstract submission form will prompt you to provide a title, list of authors (do not include degrees or credentials) and institutions, and desired presentation format for each abstract submitted. Abstracts must not exceed 500 words in length and should be written with a multi-disciplinary academic audience in mind.
Please do not submit an abstract if your attendance is questionable.
