This the last week before the playoffs and there is only one playoff spot not clinched. If I win and the other guy loses then I can still make the playoffs by points. Last week I scored the week high and have won three in a row. Luckily, I took a chance and started Hasselbeck. This week I play the league leader. My only real problem is at wide reciever again. I will probably start Reggie Wayne again but I don't know whether to start Isaac Bruce, Joe Horn (who had a big week last week), or Derrick Mason. Horn plays @ Dallas, Mason plays KC, and Bruce plays @ Carolina. Any ideas? Also, how about at quarterback? I got Vick against Oakland, Hasselbeck @ Viks, and Lord Byron Leftwich against Chicago.
Posted by pein0012 at December 7, 2004 2:57 PMI would go with Vick at QB. He has been consistently inconsistent this year, but I think he'll do alright against Oakland, who has the league's worst defense in terms of Fantasy points. Hopefully, he comes up big because I'm going to start him too, and also need a win in order to make the playoffs. As far as the recievers I would go with Joe Horn and Reggie Wayne. Good luck!

Posted by: Nick Bengtson at December 7, 2004 3:23 PMHey, Nick even though Inever played fantasy before, but if your were to choose a quareterback out of te three you mentioned, I would go with M. Vick, because Oakland Raiders does not have a good defense this season and Atlanta Folcons seems that they could win some playoffs this season the way they look now and since they are next to philadelphia Eagle in the NFC league. Chicago if the play the way they did against Vikings, I think the choice M.Vick, and no one can see what be the outcome b/w Vik and seahawk. So I thinkl I would go with M. Vick if I were to pick one QB from them.
Posted by: salah at December 7, 2004 3:30 PMFantasy football is a quite interesting topic. I currently am in the same situation as you; I need two individuals to loose to make playoffs. I am ahead of both these two individuals in the points standings so if I win and they lose I end up making playoffs. If I had your team I would start Vick, Wayne and Horn. I do not feel that Bruce will do much because Bulger is riding the pine. Horn should have a big day against the Cowboys. Wayne is a given, he has Manning throwing him the ball. And well Vick is unpredictable; he’s hot one week and not the next. You never know what you are going to get from him. However u can always bank on at least 50 rushing yards. What do you suggest I do, start J. Delhomme (vs. Stl) or J. Plummer (vs. Mia)?
Posted by: Matt Borchert at December 9, 2004 11:17 AMMatt, I like Jake Delhomme against St. Louis. Miami has a great passing defense which is keeping them in most games. But Jake Plummer is awesome at home. I like Delhomme since St. Louis has been giving up passing touchdowns like crazy the last few weeks. They don't give up a lot of passing yards but a lot of TD's. Carolina has one of the hottest offenses lately so give him a try.
I think I going to listen to you and go for broke with Horn since I need a real big week. Also, Vick can post some decent numbers this week.
