Dubay fired after possession of cocaine
Both KSPT.com and the Pioneer Press covered the story of KFAN radio host Jeff Dubay being fired after he was charged with possession of cocaine. He was pulled over in Mapplewood on October 15 and before the officer approached the vehicle, Dubay thew a bag of 0.45 grams of cocaine from his car. The Pioneer Press says Dubay claims he lent his truck to a crack dealer over the weekend and the dealer left the crack behind but he also admitted a pipe found in the truck was his. He is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 24. KSTP says if convicted he will face up to five years in jail and/or a $10,000 fine. They also say this was Dubay's third run-in with the police since Sept. Along with being a KFAN radio host, Dubay is also a host for Vikings Fan Line and reports on the U of M hockey for FOX Sports North. Along with being fired from KFAN, he is also no longer allowed on-air until things get sorted out said a FSN representative.
