Graduate School: FUN FOR ALL AGES!

Well, I'm off to the waterparks. And then I'll probably take a short breather next week from SITBB for Spring Break. So, I leave you with the following. (And apologize for the slow loading page.) A fellow graduate student alerted me to the following cool and extra fun site: http://www.theory.org.uk/lego.htm (Thank you, M.K.!)

This site is a wondrous thing! "Lego for fans of social theory; Social theory for fans of lego." Why shouldn't academia be fun! This inspired me to put together a few of my own Graduate Student Play sets. But first see this one from the theory.org site:

Giddens composes new works, reads books and discusses ideas in his office at the London School of Economics. The set includes one Anthony Giddens figure and two students.

Not to be outdone (well, actually, I have been outdone, but that didn't stop me from trying) I offer my own ABD Graduate Student Job Search Duplo Set. Each set comes with a "how-to" book written by an academic who already has a job, and a subscription to the Chronicle of Higher Education's Careers section. Ordering info to follow.

Have fun, everybody!
