From this post last November: "So I'm here for our discipline's annual conference, my fifth one, my third one in a row."
Made me a little teary eyed, this. I have decided not to go to the conference this year. The reason is noble: I plan to stay here and Get Work Done. But I will miss the sessions, the company, and the excitement of being in a new environment. Oh well...At least I can console myself that if I am productive during that week (and all the weeks following) I can go to next year's conference with a brand new degree! Woo-hoo!
