...that I missed my two year blog anniversary on the 12th! Here are my stats from my first year milestone.
This year I have 335 entries and 328 comments as of 10/12/06. Alas, I am a mere Slimy Mollusc in TTLB Blogoshere Ecosystem/Rank. Not doing too well in the whole evolutionary task thing, unfortunately.
But the biggest stat is that I have succeeded in finishing my number 1 "impossible" task: I successfully defended my dissertation. Last year I said, "If this blog is not 'SITBB, PhD' by this time next year, you hereby have my permission to slap me." Well, unhoist your hitting hands, children. You'll get no slaps at my expense!
So, back to the question: What next for SITBB? Well, Halloween is coming up so I will likely have one of my rare, yet enjoyable (for me) Mommy-blogging posts. This year one daughter will be a turtle and the other, an African princess. And once again, I am attempting to make their costumes. (Talk about impossible!) And of course, Kwanzaa will be here before you know it so I will be here once again to provide some blogospheric balance to all the Kwanzaa nay-sayers.
But other than that, I'll have to figure out a new direction for SITBB for year three. Heck, I haven't even changed my "About" page to reflect my status as a former graduate student. And my subtitle still says "Through the looking glass, on the way to a PhD." Any ideas about a new subtitle?
