Today, nothing is impossible. This, in honor of your birthday, Mom.
My mother, the ultimate graduate student. My mother, who researched graduate school programs, consulting her career grad school daughter along the way. My mother, who was accepted into a graduate school program. My mother, who moved to a new city (her first move by herself).
My mother, who became proficient enough with computers to take an on-line course her first semester. (The extent of my on-line learning has been WebCT.) My mother, who enthusiastically attended our discipline's national conference two years running. (I became semi-famous at those conferences: Looking at my name tag, people would say "Oh, you're Andrea's daughter, aren't you!")
My mother, who at age 63 is the most fearless new graduate student in the country.
Impossible? Not even.
Posted by perry032 at October 14, 2004 10:36 AMI enjoyed reading "Today, Nothing's Impossible". It was a great tribute to me on my birthday. Yvette, I am as proud of you as you are of me!!
Thank you for all the support that you have given me. Graduate school is really becoming another huge life adventure and challenge for me.
To everyone who reads this, greetings from Denton, Texas!! Yvette, remember to kiss my sweet girls and tell them that Granny loves them!
Love, Mom
