"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"

Are you a Harry Potter junky? If not you might enjoy this film anyway. The movie just isn't the same as the book. The book is way better, but for being a book made into a movie, this film is fabulous. The special effects are awesome. It is fabulous to see Harry and his friends grow up along with their characters. The characters have matured a lot since the last film. They got a new Dumbledore because the old one, Richard Harris died when they were done filming the last Harry Potter film. I don't like the new one as much, but he will do. He doesn't do a horrible job, but it isn't the same as the last. The movie is not necessarily appropriate for young children. When the Werewolf goes through his transformation, its a cool scene, but very disturbing for young children. So watch out. This movie is definitely darker than the last two films. Overall it is worth seeing.

I liked the new movie too. It was the first of the three that I had not read the book before viewing, which I had heard was better too. In my opinion Azkaban is the best out of the three because it is so much darker than the first two and more artistically directed. The time sequence was pretty cool.

My daughter (turns 11 on Sunday) has read all five HP books multiple times. She's seen all three movies as well. I think Book 4 is her current favorite; Azkaban is my favorite of the bunch. Of course, I didn't finish Book 5, because it's longer than Book 4, which was at least 100 pages longer than it needed to be. The movie of Azkaban seems to get the dementors right, and does a great job with Lupin, who, to me is the most interesting character in the series. Snape is a close second.

I always thought of Harry Potter as a children’s series, which it is. Therefore I never found myself watching any of the movies. However, my god daughter convinced me to watch one with her. To my surprise I found the movie quite interesting. There was a balance between creativity and reality which is essential in any children’s series. I have not had the opportunity to watch "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," however I find it hard to believe that it would amount to anything less than the other Harry Potter movies.

I too enjoyed the movie, but was disappointed by how little "he-who-must-not-be-named" was involved. I was complaining about this to my sister and she reminded me that Lord Voldemort didn't have a huge presence in the book. The movie was good because, in my opinion, all Harry Potter movies are great, but it was definitely my least favorite of the three.

I never read the Harry Potter books myself but I have a nine year old, little brother who is obsessed with them. He loves the books and has read all of the current ones and is dying for the next one to come out. I know a lot of people who like the books so much and say that the movies never amount to how great the books were, but I have seen the movies because of my brother. I took him to all three and I have to say that it was very entertaining because of the fact there aren't many other movies that have similar creativity and special effects, due to the fact that the movies have to target a young audience and keep the adults entertained as well. The third movie to me seemed totally different then the first two in the fact that the movie was darker, and the scenery seemed as if it took place in a different setting. It seemed too that as the characters mature in this series, so does the plot. Azkaban definalty had a more serious tone to it then the previous two. Overall though I thought it had a good plot, and the time aspect within the movie was a good surprise.

I'm usually the one making fun of my little sisters for liking Harry Potter, but I took them to see this film when it first came out and surprisingly enough, I enjoyed it. I was a little disappointed with the twist of the climax though. Perhaps I would have understood better if I were a fan.

I have read all five books and I loved every one of them, but my favorite is the fifth book. The longest book of the series, I cannot argue that it has the best plot. The Sixth Harry Potter book is "Harry Potter and the Half Blooded Prince". It is finished and is due out soon. The release date is unknown and the last book of the series says JK Rowling is the seventh and she is almost done with that book I hear. The fourth movie has already started filming and is due out in November of 2005. Next fall they start the filming the fifth movie. So keep your ears peeled for the releases....

I've managed to save up roughly $34668 in my bank account, but I'm not sure if I should buy a house or not. Do you think the market is stable or do you think that home prices will decrease by a lot?
