"Spiderman 2"

Superhero's seem to be a theme this season, but "Spiderman 2" is a definite must see. Peter Parker is not an average guy. In the first movie he was bitten by a spider giving him super human powers of the spider kind. In the sequal to the super hero's tale, he is left pondering if he made the right decision to save the world. He has lost the girl of his dreams to an astronaut whom she is going to marry. His powers are diminishing for reasons unknown and he is failing out of college. Otherwise the city is safer because Spiderman is there for every crime that is committed. But a new villian is born. Dr. Otto Octavius is the role model of our friend Peter Parker who gets to meet him and question him about his life work on a fusion project. Only to find at the experiment trial, the good scientist's formula was off and a powerful explosion occurs transforming Dr. Otto into Doc Ock. I liked this movie better than the first. The story is stronger and the effects are better. Check it out. The love story is even worth bringing a date guys!! The ending will have you screaming in your seats...

"The Terminal"

Are you a Tom Hanks fan, well don't get to excited, but you may want to check out his movie with director Steven Spielberg, "The Terminal". A man from a small country is stuck in an airport because he has no where to go. His country is suffering from a war and a loss in power and he does not have a US citizenship. He is declared unaccepted by any country. The head of the airport refuses to allow him to leave the airport. Thus, Tom Hanks must live in the airport where he finds a possible love interest. The movie is basically about his struggle living there and how he makes due with what he has. Does he ever get to leave the airport? Watch the movie and find out. The movie is a bit on the slow side, but it is a heart warming story with a funny twist to it. So what is in that coffee can he carries with him all the time????

"National Treasure"

"National Treasure" starring Nicholas Cage was pretty good. It was made by Disney and has little violence and language. Nicholas Case stars as a treasure hunter who has been looking for the long lost treasure buried by the Masons here in America. Nicholas Cage goes on a wild treasure hunt following the clues that our four fathers left behind. Clues can be found in our money, monuments, etc. The only problem is there is another group of bandits after the treasure and the FBI is after Cage and his two sidekicks in this thrilling adventure. The story starts out pretty slow, but this two and a half hour movie picks up about half way through and doesn't stop until the end. This movie has some love, action, explosions and comedy for the whole family.

"Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"

Are you a Harry Potter junky? If not you might enjoy this film anyway. The movie just isn't the same as the book. The book is way better, but for being a book made into a movie, this film is fabulous. The special effects are awesome. It is fabulous to see Harry and his friends grow up along with their characters. The characters have matured a lot since the last film. They got a new Dumbledore because the old one, Richard Harris died when they were done filming the last Harry Potter film. I don't like the new one as much, but he will do. He doesn't do a horrible job, but it isn't the same as the last. The movie is not necessarily appropriate for young children. When the Werewolf goes through his transformation, its a cool scene, but very disturbing for young children. So watch out. This movie is definitely darker than the last two films. Overall it is worth seeing.

"The Chronicles of Riddick"

Looking for a good movie to rent Friday night? I just rented "The Chronicles of Riddick". This movie is the sequel to the action packed thriller, "Pitch Black". Vin Diesel stars as Riddick who is a fugitive with a bounty on his head. He is captured and taken to the world Cremator where he encounters the long lost Jack from the first movie. The world is under attack by the necromongers who want to kill all the humans and convert them to the dead-undead lives that they live. Riddick must stay alive, but try to save the world, again. This movie is fabulous. If you like sci-fi action you will love this movie. The special effects are awesome and the props are magnificent. Check it out!
