Duluth couple turns fire hall into their home

A couple from Duluth, Minn. bought Park Point fire hall in a July auction, and they plan to renovate it into their home, the Pioneer Press reported.
Laura and Bob Goewey bought the 1930s fire hall for $235,000. The plan to retain the fire hall's character, the Duluth News Tribune reported.
When the couple is finished renovating, they intend to hold an open house to show the public what they have done to the fire hall. Local preservationists are pleased with the couple's decision to turn the fire hall into their home, the Duluth News Tribune reported.
