Reese Witherspoon, and her husband, arrested

Oscar-winning actress Reese Witherspoon and her husband Jim Toth were pulled over and arrested Friday after a cop saw their car weaving in and out of lanes, the Huffington Post reported.

Witherspoon, 37, is charged with disorderly conduct for being uncooperative with the police officer during Toth's arrest. Toth,42, had a blood alcohol level of .139, and he has been charged with driving while intoxicated, the Huffington Post reported

While Toth was being arrested, Witherspoon allegedly said, "Do you know my name?" to the officer. When the officer said, "No, I don't need to know your name," Witherspoon replied, "You're about to find out who I am.", TMZ reported.

The couple were in the Georgia capital working on a film. They were both released from custody at 3:30 a.m. on Friday, Huffington Post reported

Five people dead in Colorado avalanche

The bodies of five people killed in Colorado's deadliest avalanche in more than 50 years, were recovered on Saturday, Fox News reported.

The bodies of four snowboarders and one skier were found in a backcountry area on Loveland Pass, Clear Creek County Sheriff Don Krueger said, Fox News reported.

The victims were identified Sunday as Christopher Peters, 32, Joseph Timlin, 32, Ryan Novack, 33, Ian Lanaphere, 30, and Rick Gaukel, 33, CNN reported.

Jerome Boulay, another snowboarder, survived the avalanche, and his condition has not been released, Fox News reported.

The Denver Post reported that the group of men were participating in the Rocky Mountain High country Bash, an event to raise money for the Colorado Avalanche Information Center. Al of them were wearing avalanche beacons and proper equipment, Fox News reported.

A couple in their 50s from Ames, Iowa became the first to marry at Denny's wedding chapel in Las Vegas on Wednesday, ABC News reported.

Nancy Levandowski, director of Iowa State University dining, and Steven Keller, a salesman for a food company, me online three and a half years ago, and they had both been married before, ABC News reported.

Levandowski said she ate at Denny's restaurants often during college, and she learned about the in-house wedding chapel while reading Food Network magazine, Kare 11 reported.

Wedding costs at the chapel start at $95 dollars, which includes a Pancake Puppies wedding cake and Denny's T-shirts, Kare 11 reported.

Three dead and five injured in car crash

A car accident on Interstate 94 in Minneapolis killed three people and injured five on Sunday, the Pioneer Press reported.

The three-vehicle crash happened around 1 p.m. near 49th Avenue, said Minnesota State Patrol Lt. Eric Roeske. All of the victims were in a minivan, which rolled over, and the people in the other two vehicles were not injured, the Star Tribune reported.

The victims, whose names have not been released, are at North Memorial in a stable condition, Roeske said. Authorities are investigating the accident, and they do not believe alcohol or drugs were involved, the Star Tribune reported.

College basketball player suffers gruesome injury

Lousiville guard, Kevin Ware, broke his leg in the game against Duke on Sunday, the New York Times reported.

The injury occured with 6 minutes and 33 seconds left in the first half. According to CBS, when Ware went down with his bone sticking out of his skin he repeatedly said, "win the game," USA Today reported.

The sophomore jumped to contest a three point shot, and when he landed broke his right leg in two places. Ware is expected to have surgery on Sunday, the New York Times reported.

Louisville won the game 85-63, and they will move on to the next round of the NCAA tournament, the Huffington Post reported.

A woman holding her baby jumped out of a New York apartment building Wednesday, the woman died, and the baby survived, the Star Tribune reported.
Police found Cynthia Wachenheim, 45, dead at the scene. Wachenheim's 10-month-old son, Keston, survived and was taken to a hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition, the Olympian reported.
Wachenheim shared an apartment in West Harlem with her husband, where police found a seven-page suicide note. In the note Wachenheim said she was concerned about the development of her son, the Star Tribune reported. It is unclear whether the baby had physical or mental disorders.

7-year-old boy dies after dog attack

A 7-year-old boy died after a dog attacked him Saturday in Galesburg, Illinois, WQAD reported.
Police said Ryan Maxwell was playing in the backyard of a home he was visiting when a pit bull attacked him. When the police pulled the dog off of Ryan, it attempted to attack them so an officer shot and killed it, the Chicago Sun Times reported.
Ryan was taken by ambulance to a local hospital where he died of injuries. An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, WQAD reported.

Expecting parents die in car crash, baby survives

A pregnant woman and her husband were on their way to the hospital died in a car accident Sunday, and the baby was delivered, the Huffington Post reported.
Nachman and Raizy Glauber, both 21, were at the intersection of Wilson Street and Kent Avenue in Brooklyn when they were hit by a gray BMW. The premature boy was delivered at Beth Israel Hospital and was in serious condition, NBC reported.
Police are still searching for the driver of the BMW and another passenger who fled the scene. No arrests have been made, NBC reported.

Snowmobile accident causes death of a Minnesota man

A Minnesota man lost control of his snowmobile Saturday and slid underneath a moving train, the Pioneer Press reported.
Paul Fenske, 31, and another snowmobiler were eastbound along the railroad tracks in Dassel, St. Cloud Times reported.
Fenske was pronounced dead at the scene. The train crew were not aware that Fenske had been hit because it happened several railroad cars away from the front of the train, St. Cloud Times reported.
The snowmobiler that was with Fenske saw the incident but was not hurt, the Pioneer Press reported.

A British woman, who was recently diagnosed with a rare condition, says she has had the same song stuck in her head for three years, the Huffington Post reported.
Susan Root, 63, has been diagnosed with a form of tinnitus and says she has had the song "How Much is that Doggie in the Window" playing in her head for many years. A spokes man of the Tinnitus Association called Root's form of tinnitus "musical hallucinations", according to the Huffington Post.
The Associations's spokesman said the songs those with musical hallucinations hear are songs they often listened to when they were young. Root said "How Much is that Doggie in the Window" was one of her favorites growing up, Gawker reported.
"It's like having a radio you just can't turn off," Root said. She was given a hearing aid to help the symptoms, but so far nothing has fixed her problem, according to Gawker.
