Gophers lose to Florida Atlantic
In their final game before their Big Ten opener the Minnesota Golden Gophers suffered an embarrassing defeat at the hands of Florida Atlantic, a program which is only seven years into existence.
The Gophers played terrible football in the first half and ,with the help of their four first half turnovers, entered the locker room trailing 35-14. The Gophers played much better in the second half and made it a game. However, with four seconds left on the clock quarterback Adam Weber threw one final interception which prevented the Gophers from attempting the tying field goal.
This game was supposed to be a confidence booster for the Gophers heading into the Big Ten season, but it has generated more questions than answers and sends to team into the conference opener on a somber note.
