Telling Myself No
It's hard to realize things that aren't apparent; many people have trouble solving this issue. Many messages from people come in disguises. Their body language, word choices, etc. are what they're really saying.
If it were that easy, I think people would be just fine and dandy with solving this issue. But what complicates it, though, at least for me, is wanting to hear what I want. And especially if it's something that is so incredibly desirable, it's hard to shake this feeling.
People say the word "no" in many ways. It's not always as apparent as a mother scolding a child when he gets into the cookies. And especially if people are being polite, the word "no" can be extremely difficult to discern.
Right now I feel the need to tell myself "no." And it's hard.

You have heard of "Minnesota Nice." Right? It's the many polite ways that Minnesotains can say no. :-P at least thats how it was explained to me.

I have no idea what you're telling yourself no about; I assume it's an inside thing. But maybe you should do what Ben Stiller's character does on Dodgeball, you know, the jumper cables to the nipples as he tries to eat a donut. That's usually what I do.

haha, yeah. it's an inside thing. something kind of emotional and not really something i want to be completely public about, but it's nice to get the thought out on the screen.

After reading your entry here it seems as though you believe you may have misinterpreted some nonverbal message from someone. Or they were telling you one thing verbally while body language was telling you something different.
If this is indeed the case I would say to go with your intiution on this one. Good luck!
