Fiscal issues and geeky stuff

Relationships between government and nonprofit organizations are undeniably complex. It's imperative that leaders and managers are fiscally savvy and knowledgeable in navigating these sector boundaries. As a resource to you, we introduce our "sibling" blog - Fiscal Issues and Geeky Stuff - authored by Zhirong (Jerry) Zhao.

PubTalkers...Welcome to my blog.

I study fiscal issues: state and local budget, transportation finance, and nonprofit financial management. I use geeky stuff: statistics (mostly with R), GIS, and LaTeX. In the blog I write about my work -- so it is all about "Fiscal Issues and Geeky Stuff".

The blog is my teaching notes, which I use to organize lecture material, to answer student questions, or to provide additional examples. The blog is my research archive, where I bookmark data sources, keep technical notes, or present working or finished projects.

The blog is also my virtual footprints in the "global village. ClustrMaps locates my lovely readers at every continent. BLOGCOUNTER tracks all the traffic -- with clicks from ".gov I know an issue is relevant; with clicks from ".edu I know that I am not alone in a journey of inquiry.
