Some recent faculty accomplishments to celebrate:
Tim Johnson received the Pi Sigma Alpha award for the best paper presented at the 2008 Southern Political Science Association meetings for his co-authored paper, "Political Case Salience, U.S. Supreme Court Oral Arguments, and the Search for the Holy Grail".
Lisa Hilbink's book, Judges Beyond Politics in Dictatorship and Democracy, won Honorable Mention for the C. Herman Pritchett Award for best book in the Law and Courts Section of the APSA. This is in addition to her previously winning the Herbert Jacob Award for best book from the Law and Society Association.
Dara Strolovitch's book, Affirmative Advocacy, has won yet another award! Dara was recently informed that she will receive the Virginia Hodgkinson Prize from the Association for Research on Nonprofit Organizations and Voluntary Action; the Prize is for the best book on philanthropy and the nonprofit sector that informs policy and practice.
