MN man arrested in fatal La Crosse photo store robbery

A Minnesota man has been arrested and charged with murdering a father and son while attempting to rob their La Crosse photography store.

39-year-old Jeffry Lepsch of Dakota, Minn. was charged with two counts of first degree murder in the deaths of Paul Petras and his 19-year-old son A.J., reports Kare 11.

The father and son were shot to death in September shortly after a weekend photography class ended, according to WCCO news.

Lepsch is also being charged on one count of armed robbery for stealing $16,000 worth of camera equipment, according to Kare 11.

Lepsch has been convicted of robbery before, reports WCCO news. He served a year in jail for stealing over $50,000 worth of tools from Ace Hardware in 2003.

The relationship if any between Lepsh and the Petrases is not yet known, Police told WCCO news.
