A Wisconsin police officer was suspended after their gun accidentally fired inside Governor Scott Walker's mansion Thursday, reports KSTP news.
The officer's gun went off inside the security office in the Maple Bluff mansion at approximately 10:45 p.m. Thursday, reports the Star Tribune. The Governor and his family were not in the home when this occurred.
No one was injured but the officer was suspended with pay, reports KSTP news.
State Department of Administration spokesperson Stephanie Marquis said the officer has been suspended until the investigation is complete, according to KSTP news. She said she expects the investigation to be done by Monday.
Marquis said the suspended officer was new to the job and still in their probationary period, reports the Star Tribune.
