Dr. Magdalena Wojtczak, a member of the department's auditory
perception and cognition group, has been elected a Fellow of the
Acoustical Society of America. This high honor is awarded to members
who have made notable contributions to the advancement of acoustics.
The award will be presented in May 2011 at the meeting of the
Acoustical Society of America in Seattle.

Dear Psychology Colleagues,
Those of us involved with brain imaging know Phil Burton. Phil is the
CLA staff scientist supporting brain imaging projects in the College,
many of which are in Psychology.
It's a pleasure to tell you that Phil has received a CLA Outstanding
Service Award. Phil will join department staff members Heidi Wolff
and Judy Peterson in receiving their awards at the CLA staff
appreciation ceremony on Dec. 14.
