Because sex holds our interest so well, why not use it to better ourselves mentally? Hot for Words is Marina Orlova's youtube channel. She is a philologist (she studies word origins) and she posts videos explaining where words come from. The words she breaks down are all giving to her by her watchers. Plus I think her Russian accent is crazy hot.
What's sex got to do with... Education?

Ohhh hotforwords. I think this is a very good example of how sex sells, even in a seemingly amateur arena such as Youtube. I've seen videos of hers before. Most of my Youtube subscriptions are mildly educational in nature, and she showed up on an account called Truthorfail, which is an interactive game show. Different youtube personalities create true or false trivia questions on the account. The channel was still fairly new when Marina Orlova made her game and I was confused for a while as to why she was wearing such a strange, revealing dress. In fact, it made me a little uncomfortable. I finally got the concept at the end of the game when she put in a plug for her book, "Hot for Words." My experience with that advertisement leads me to question whether it really is 'education' that she's trying to sell here, but in the end I think her motive is tied to a desire to educate, just as much a desire to sell books. I think she is getting both jobs done in a way. This certainly is a good example of the great variety of things sex has been used to sell. I'm not sure what can't be sold with sex anymore.
