The sexualization of children in advertisements and beauty pageants has become increasingly common. Do images like this, of children posing in sexualized ways or wearing clothing that is meant to be provacative, harm society? Does it increase the likelihood that children will be viewed as sexual creatures? Can an argument be made that it begins to normalize the objectification of children?
Your post reminded me of this article. I think it addresses some of those questions pretty well.
