What's sex got to do with...candy bars?



I happened to stumble upon this image, labeled as "gay advertising" and immediately thought of this class. Are companies producing this not-so-mainstream images to "gay only" consumers? Perhaps in gay-friendly magazines an on channels such as Logo? Why aren't these ads mainstream?

Also, this is representation that the gay community, or any community would want? Is it homophobic, or a way for companies to draw in a new audience?

I'm really curious to see what everything thinks!
