Katy Perry
I really liked the presentation on Katy Perry. I will admit, I like a majority of Katy Perry's songs, but the way that she dresses is off-putting. She is constantly wearing things that are extremely revealing, and they are almost always somehow tied to a childish theme. For example, she wears rubber dresses with candy attached to it, etc. She is free to wear whatever she pleases within reason, but I found it distasteful that she would show that much cleavage on Sesame Street. The dress would have been fine if the cut of the dress actually covered her chest, regardless of the fact that the see-through mesh fabric covered it. The only people who watch the show are extremely young, or the parents of extremely young children, so there was no point in sexualizing herself other than to be controversial.
Further, the advertisements that she releases, and especially the album covers, are just ridiculous. Recently, I came across an article on Perez that noted how Katy Perry had her first porn star impersonator. Let's be fair, they could just release the photoshoots she is actually in and make just as much money.
