Extra Credit: What's sex got to do with.. PETA?

This advertisement was banned from NBC for, I think, pretty obvious reasons. I find it almost hilarious how seriously and literally organizations/companies take the saying that "Sex Sells". The blanket statement "Studies show... vegetarians have better sex" isn't supported by any statistical evidence or referenced. The women shown in the advertisement are hypersexualized and show the taboo act of female masturbation.

Wow. That was quite explicit, is all I can say. PETA is definitely banking on the shock value of sex here, especially as their statement that vegetarians have better sex is completely unsupported. I think it's also interesting how the commercial only objectified women. Seems that PETA accidentally/purposefully decided to take advantage of women in order to try to protect animals. Interesting trade off.
