Every year, few hundred thousand students are defrauded by scholarship scams. Scam operations often imitate legitimate scholarship matching services, grant-giving foundations, education lenders, and government agencies. They use official-sounding names containing words like “Foundation,” “Administration,” “National,” or “Federal.”
When you receive an email about services that solicit money in exchange for guaranteed scholarships, you have to be alerted.
