That kid digital story

That kid digital story analysis
This is a story something happening to a child that sets them apart from the majority of the people around them, which causes them to be viewed as "that kid." Bobbi Jo O'Neal made this digital story as an adult after her childhood she was able to relate to a child she came across in her profession. She wanted to show her viewers the effect they can have on someone by singling them out or looking at them differently because of what they've been through. Her point of view adds so much power because she has been through it. Without background music this video doesn't meet the Lambert's 5th element, but I'm not sure it is necessary. Without the music the listener is really able to hear O'Neal's voice and listen carefully to the emotion in it. I'm not sure what the dramatic question is in this video, but the story in itself is powerful. The author paces her self effectively so that the video flows well and moves with the pictures. I think this is a good video because the point of view, pacing, word choice, and emotional content make it a very moving story. I chose it because not only is it arranged well, I can relate to the story. I was "that kid" for a long time and still am around some people. I think that Bobbi Jo O'Neal shared her, the boy in her story, my, and so many others story. I believe she got the message across successfully and helped many people of her audience realize what they do to people when they label them "that kid."
