I like your top ten mainly because am not familiar with any of them. Maybe Akira, is it the movie about coloning or something similiar?

Akira is anime. Yes, I'm a big nerd. Basically, it's about kids that are experimented on which gives them telekinetic powers. Much of the film consists of two characters shouting their names at each other: "Kaneda!" "Tetsuo!" Rinse, repeat.

Akira's awesome - I love that late 80's/early 90's style.
Have you seen "Manderlay"? It's the sequel to "Dogville" released in 2005-ish. I'm not sure if it uses the same characters (Kidman didn't return) but I'm pretty sure it uses the same style. Lars von Trier is such a fun filmmaker.

I actually liked "Manderlay" better than "Dogville." I think von Trier's going to go ahead with "Wasington," the third in the trilogy. Anyway, yeah, I think Michael Haneke's one of the most interesting directors working right now. I haven't seen "The Seventh Continent" yet, or anything else that came before "Funny Games." Speaking of that, I'm really curious what his English language version of "Funny Games" will be like.
