Christine Swanson was born on July 1, 1971 in Detroit, Michigan. She attended the New York University Tisch School of the Arts, where she received her MFA. At her school she was a Willard T.C. I found Christine Swanson’s name on the “Sisters in Cinema� website. I had actually heard of her before, but was not familiar with her work. There was actually attainable information on her, compared to other women of color filmmakers which I could not even find a bibliography.
