I used to volunteer at the LGBT Center in NYC a couple of years ago. They have a large portrait in the office of Ms Audrey Lourde and while there I learned alot about her,I spoke with several women who knew her and between their information and her poetry I can almost feel her speaking to us.She was an incredible woman strong and powerful, smart, witty, loving all the things we look for in a mate. Her poetry is incredible,I wish I could have known her but her life and memory will live on in all of us who feel her words and incredible deeds.
