Megan's Top Ten. Again.
Now I'm irritated. I blogged one list and previewed it and even hit save twice. And yet, I can't seem to find it. I'm not finding this blog thing enjoyable. What happened to the days of poster board and markers?!
Here's the list. Again. And it is, undoubtedly, different than the first I posted.
1. Stepmom-- cannot get enough of this dumb movie.
2. Best in Show
3. Must Love Dogs-- I'm a girl and I like dorky romantic comedies, leave me alone!
4. Copycat
5. Run Lola Run (auf Deutsch)
6. The Usual Suspects-- my boyfriend actually gave me the silent treatment for two days when I figured it out halfway through... HE thought it was such a clever movie that I'd just NEVER guess. HA!
7. Wedding Crashers-- I'm guilty of saying "Lock it up" in numerous instances
8. Pearl Harbor-- LOVE period movies and red ilpstick
9. Various Disney and Pixar movies
10. Mean Girls-- because it's true
Sidenote: why is the default date and time on my post so screwy??

I love Stepmom! It makes me cry every time… the little boy’s smile is so sweet and contagious! Cute story about the Usual Suspects… you’re so clever! I think I understood the movie the first time, but I watched it another time just to absorb it all—the ending was super awesome! Kevin Spacey made fun of it in an SNL skit. You should check it out!

Stepmom is not a dumb movie! So don't fell ashamed. I love it too. They play it on TV a lot, and no matter what else is on, I'll just sit there and watch it. It's as if the cheesiness of the movie and Julie Roberts just draws me in. I just saw Wedding Crashers, as well, and I absolutely love Vince Vaughn and love Owen Wilson even more! I forgot it on my list, so thanks for reminding me.

Stepmom is an amazing movie so I can completely understand why you can't get enough of it. And I just watched the Usual Suspects with my boyfriend - such a good movie.

I may be the first comment here to not talk about stepmom because what I really want to talk about is Wedding Crashers. When I first saw the advertisements I thought it would be the normal cookie-cutter Vince Von movie which is definetly worthy of renting but in my opinion not worth buying a ticket for. I was roped into going anyway and actually for the first time in years laughed hysterically in the theater. They really hit the nail on the head with that one.

I would also like to make a comment about Wedding Crashers. I completely forgot to put it on my top 10, which was a mistake because it was definitely one of the best comedies made in years. I think Owen and Vince should consider working together again soon.

Allison,
When I say 'because it's true,' I am referring to all of the commentary on girl culture. I know it will be unpopular for me to say this, but stereotypes often exist because they DO stand on a legitimate foundation of some sort (not saying it's right, just that it's not totally out of left field). Girls are terrible to girls. The fighting is backstabbing and sneaky and just MEAN. Now, I certainly don't mean everyone is like that, but, let's be honest: between the ages of 13 and 25, we suck. At 52, my mom insists that, unfortunately, we don't get much better either!

I have Usual Suspects on my top 10 too... I absolutely love that movie. It is quite clever, however, I figured it out half way through too. My two best friends made me watch the movie last year and also got mad at me for not being shocked.

I haven't thought about Run Lola Run in a long time. I absolutely love that movie...and the soundtrack!
