St. Paul man pleads guilty to pepper spraying 1-year-old

A St. Paul man accused of assaulting his 1-year-old daughter pleaded guilty Monday to three felony-level crimes, reported the Star Tribune.

Brandon Vaughn Clark, 21, pleaded guilty in Ramsey County District Court to first degree burglary, terrorist threats and unlawful possession of tear gay in the July 15 incident, reported the Pioneer Press.

According to the Star Tribune, the criminal complaint stated that Clark kicked down the door of the child's mother's apartment and threatened the mother and a friend with a gun. Clark grabbed the child and ran, but the mother and friend were able to take her away from Clark.

Clark pepper-sprayed the mother's friend and hit the baby with the pepper spray, according to the Pioneer Press. The child was not severely hurt, though, reported the Star Tribune.

Clark will be sentenced Jan. 21, according to both sources.
