Man wounds two officers in Pentagon shooting

A man was shot and killed Thursday after opening fire at the Pentagon and wounding two officers.
John Patrick Bedell, 36, wounded two officers at a security checkpoint outside of the Pentagon, The New York Times reported.
According to The Boston Globe, the two officers were only grazed by the bullets and treated at a nearby hospital, Richard Keevill, chief of Pentagon police said.
According to The New York Times, Bedell died after being shot in the head and arm by police, said Richard Keevill, chief of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency.
Bedell often ranted about the government, believing that the events on Sept. 11 were staged by the federal government, according to The New York Times.
The Boston Globe reported that investigators do not think terrorism was involved, but are not ruling it out.
