Life as a commuter...

At freshman orientation I didn't know whether or not I was to be a commuter student or if I would be dorming on campus. Now class is in session and here I am... a commuter. There are many other commuting students, whom I presume are either freshman still living with their parents or are upperclassmen who live with their friends. I am neither. I'm a small towner from South Dakota who was dropped off in this gargantuan metropolis (in my eyes) and was thrown into the hectic life of a busy city. My average commute takes around 30-45 minutes... a big change from the 5 minute drive to high school. So now not only are tougher classes and making new friends everyday issues, but getting up an hour earlier just to make it to class on time comes in to play. So what's the point you wonder? Well, being a commuter sucks!!!
