So everybody that I've ever talked to that has gone to the U or lived in Minnesota, has nothing bad to say about it, which made me really anticipate coming to the U from home - STL!! Now, or at least last week, i found myself ostrasized from everyone else who absolutely adores this school. First off, i came here completely solo - something that people think isnt so hard - well it is! I looked down at about 2:30 on Friday night (saturday morning) and saw a cochroach scurry across my floor. Then another one crawling on my dresser! all i have to say is that was the most traumatizing experience yet! What an inconvienence - moving out into another room temporarily where there wasnt even a girls restroom! Two days after i moved out of the roach hotel - i had a load (WHITE) of my laundry stolen. if you have it... please give it back! So that sucks even more. Those were the two major things that made me "hate" the U at first, along with minor things such as tripping and falling down the stairs - what a clutz! anyways, im getting a little more adjusted but it TAKES TIME! take it from me - if you dont like it here or think your having a bad day, it will get better. "THIS TOO SHALL PASS" This week has been MUCH better, but i just thought id share my first university experience.
