To follow up on the question Abby asked in class today on whether or not Ohio is a swing state, I looked it up and it seems that Ohio is not in fact a swing state. The New York Times classifies it as "Leaning Republican." It's a very important part of the rhetorical context of both speeches you're reading this week, so keep that in mind.
