Alright guys... The Pata has news for all of you. Febreze is the sickest thing ever. My roommate and I had a rather frusterating situation with our air conditioner last week. A bunch of water managed to escape this enchanting machine, and thus a fairly large puddle appeared on our floor. (how wonderful). I loved it when i walked across the room and my socks got all wet. (heavy sarcasm). After a handful of days, an army of mold cells decided to camp out in our puddle. It smelled like something aweful. (You want to know what it smelled like? It smelled just like your clothes do when you put them in the washing machine and forget about them for a long time and they just sit all wet in there. nast.) We filled out a maitenence request form and anxiously awaited the fixing of the AC machine. After days of no sign of a repair person, I revisited the front desk, filled out a new form, and was sure to write "EMERGENCY" in big letters on top. At this point it just sucked to live in that room, so we whipped out the Febreze and attempted to kill the smell. First of all, Febreze doesnt clean anything...you just spray it on something gross and Mr Febreze tries oh so hard to decrease the gross factor. Secondly, whats up with the scents? My roommate purchased "MEADOW RAIN" Febreze. Exactly what does a meadow rain smell like? hmmmm....alright. So then our room smelled like mold mixed with "MEADOW RAIN" and it was gross. On the back of the bottle it says that Febreze "Safely cleans odors from fabrics, leaving the clean feeling of after the rain reshness"....what the heck?!!! after it rains, it always smells like worms, not Febreze....if you ask me, they're really milking the effects of this product. Thirdly (and not finally....but im sick of writing about Febreze) It reminded me of when i dated this guy whose mom smoked like 8 zillion packs a day inside their house. Their couch always smelled like Febreze because she thought she was Ms Sneaky Smokey and she assumed that she made the couch smell all pretty and not smokey and it was so gross. (except i think it was a different scent....perhaps "DUSKY DEW" or something lame along those lines!!!!!!!!!!!!) BOO FEBREZE.
ps- Our AC did indeed get fixed and we had the carpet cleaned with a special machine that looked like a giant lawn mower.
