Studying

Hi! Does anyone besides me need to much on something or at least be drinking something when it comes to studying and/or reading? This is really vague, I know but I have heard at least a dozen people in the last couple hours say that they couldn't study without something to eat or drink right next to them.
Is there some scientific link to this? If anyone knows anything, please let me know because I am interested. Does eating or drinking keep our brains alivee when we study or what? Does it provide a constant movement to kep us awakw and on track? Sorry for this, I know it is pointless but I just thought I would bring it up. Can anyone actually study in the dorms? I don't live on campus, and I was just wondering if it is hard with all the distractions? I find many plasses at the U to study and I can get work done, but I think in a dorm I would have a little more trouble concentrating. well Have to go to class. See everyone soon!

Well you have alot of different questions around this subject, but my answer to it all is this: First, with the eating and drinking thing while studying, I figure what it is is that when you study it is probably a last resort so you have done everything else and then you study so when you do, your body is a little fatigued so you need some type of energy to pump you up a little. Next, for the studying in a dorm thing, everytime I study or do homework it is being done in my room, as a matter of fact I'm responding to your post in my room. It is just how strong you are and when I say that I mean how concentrated you are to your work. I have actually did homework while the game was on and it doesn't phase me because actually everytime I do work I need music just like you and your food or drink.
