Bush vs. Kerry Speeches

Well first of all, was I the only one who noticed how much shorter Kerry's speech was than Bush's?? Not that it matters but Bush sure does like to talk! He he! Now that I'm finally done reading them, I'd like to consider the pros and cons I felt from each speech. As of right now, I do not know exactly who I am in support of so I feel I am at an advantage for comparing without including bias opinions. The thing that stood out the most from Bush's speech that I was not a big fan of what his constant use of the phrase "There is still work to be done..." He's had FOUR years to get work done and it's hard for me to believe that with FOUR more years, he'll accomplish so much more. Kerry's speech seemed to lack personal support for his campaign and focused alot on the negative about his 'competition'. I'm not too keen on the whole "bash the other candidate" approach as you may have noticed in my first blog on this topic, so that was a bit disappointing, whereas Bush discussed alot of his projected campaign reforms and was able to refrain from bashing Kerry in every paragraph. I am bothered by the differing numbers and factual information regarding current unemployment levels, availability of Medicare, etc. Bush makes it seem as though his presidency has caused great improvements in these areas where Kerry's numbers show that there was actually a downfall in these areas during Bush's presidency. I feel even though the information presented by each candidate is coming from the source first-hand, there are still many biases present which makes it difficult for a student like me to decide who to support. Will I ever be able to decide... hopefully before November 2nd!!
