I don't know why everyone is making such a big deal with the bible passings? Everyday you have people coming up to you giving you flyers to join their club, or restaurants to come to. Now, you don't have to take the flyer, and you don't have to join the club or go to the restaurant. I don't know why the bible passing should be any different. I'm not sure about what experiences people have had with these bible givers, but for me I was politely asked if I wanted one. Whether people accepted or declined, they were not attacked, from what I saw. It was a little funny how they were less than 20 feet apart from each other, but for me it wasn't a big deal. A lot of people have said that they shouldn't be doing this, but I think they have every right to. Seeing that this is America we have freedoms to do this kind of stuff. You didn't have to accept it, and they weren't shoving it in your pockets so no harm was done. For me, just because I'm not affiliated with something, it doesn't mean that I have to be negative towards it.
I agree. I think there is definitely a double standard. A lot of the time people criticize Christians for evangelizing and doing their thing saying that it's offensive or obnoxious or whatever, but the truth is if another religion that was less prevelent was out and about many people would be encouraging them for the whole freedom of speech and religion thing happily to show that they were open minded and that this a free country. Personally I think it's in poor taste to wage a full-frontal campaigne out in the streets like many Christians do, I keep my [Christian] beliefs to myself and people that I know well.

They are trying to spread the word of God. It's a better way to let people know about God. Now see it had to be a problem to that, but if they were passing out money or anything you would most definitely accept that. No matter how far they are away from each other.
