Drinking Age

I don't want to be too off topic but lately with the whole war and election it just seems like 18 being the age of adulthood, drinking at 21 ... somthing is wrong. In my opinion, if the Government tells you that age 18 you are an adult, you are responsible for all of your own actions and can be prosecuted to the fullest exten of the law in the court room, you can die for your country in war, and vote for your president - but you have to wait 3 years before you're capable of chosing whether or not you want to drink alcohol? To me it says that Government doesn't truly consider you an adult until you're 21, and if that's the case they're sending adolescents off to war and to the voting polls. I'm sure a lot of people say drinking and driving is a huge reason the drinking age is where it is at but on the flip side though you have a lot of people who are 18 and out of high school but they can't go to a bar to hang-out and they don't want to be with the high schoolers at their clubs, necessarilly, so where do they go? I think that a lot of the problems with raves and clubs where ecstacy and other club-drugs are used might be attributed to the fact it's because they're not old enough to go to a bar. What does everyone else think?
