I really thought that the story about the missing UMN student in the newspaper today was soooo dumb!! I felt like the guy acted in a stupid way by just leaving and not bothering to tell anyone. What was surprising to me was the fact that his family were so happy to have him home and they were defending him saying that he had some problems to work out and just needed a bit of time away. If it was my brother or whatever who had gone off without telling anyone I would probably yell at him for getting everyone all worried about him. Maybe I am overreacting to this but when people do dumb things like that it REALLY annoys me.....
ok - so bout this whole missing person story. i was soo shocked to see signs posted everywhere about a grown man (college student) missing. usually it happens to young children who get taken etc. i completely understand the need to get away because things can get very hectic and stressful, but "running away" is a bit immature. i mean take a nap, sleep all day, running away is so not the answer. it must suck for him because ya he got away for a week or so, but all of his "problems" were waiting for him when he got home! adios!!!

People go missing everyday so how do they determine what story is legit. i think the reason the news stations kept talking about the kid was because earlier the young man died in Riverbend so they are trying to portray the U as being "unsafe".
